Tamara Mellon to Leave Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo co-founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon is leaving the luxury footwear and handbags brand just five months after its acquisition by the private equity firm Labelux. The details on her departure are not entirely clear yet but numerous reports indicate Mellon will leave Jimmy Choo. It is reported that her exit will coincide with that of Joshua Shulman, the current Jimmy Choo CEO, however, it appears they have made their decision to leave independently of one another and neither is leaving because of better job offers.

Both Shulman and Mellon’s departures are reportedly amicable, and they both will stay on for the next few months until replacements are found. Mellon is known for her work growing Jimmy Choo from the handmade wares of a single British cobbler into a multi-million dollar global accessories firm. She previously worked at British Vogue’s accessories department in the late 1990s but left to build the Malaysian-born Jimmy Choo, with a £150,000 loan from her father. Labelux, the third private company to own Jimmy Choo since it was founded, reportedly paid around $800 million.Tory Burch Boots For Females With Class And Good Taste !

Gaga sparked speculation that the partnership was at an end last week. She posted a message on Twitter which revealed she was working on routines for her current single, Marry The Night, with Richard Jackson – one of Laurieann’s former assistants.Last night, sources close to Gaga exclusively confirmed that she has “parted ways” with her former right-hand woman. My source told me: “Things turned sour in recent months. Friction was mounting between the pair, so Gaga decided to call it a day.”The move will no doubt hearten some of Gaga’s die-hard fans, known as Little Monsters. They felt the sharp edge of Laurieann’s tongue when they dared to criticise her dancer-free video for Gaga’s Edge of Glory.
